About us
Digital Home Cinema has been supplying, installing and servicing home theatre equipment for thirty years. The showroom and live demo room are at High School Junction in Kollam.
The shop
One team, from first visit to handover
The same people handle the site visit, the system design, the installation, the calibration and any service afterwards. We do not use subcontractors.
That matters most after the job is finished. When a receiver develops a fault in year three, you call the shop that fitted it and speak to someone who knows the installation.

What experience actually gives you
It shows up in what we recommend, and in what we have stopped carrying.
Three decades of selling and then repairing the same equipment produces a kind of knowledge you cannot get from a specification sheet: which products are still working in customers' houses a decade later, and which ones came back.
That shapes what we recommend. There are brands we have stopped carrying because we grew tired of servicing them, and models we keep suggesting because they simply do not fail. When we tell you one receiver is a better buy than another at the same price, that is where it comes from.
It also means we have seen a lot of rooms. Most problems people bring us are not equipment problems. They are a speaker in the wrong place, a room with nothing on the walls, or a projector fighting more daylight than it was built for. Those are cheaper to fix than people expect, and often the honest answer is that no new purchase is needed.
We work in English and in Malayalam, whichever you prefer.
The demo room
You can hear it before you buy it
A complete system set up and running at the showroom, in a room you can sit down in.
A home theatre is one of the few large purchases people are asked to make from a brochure. Ten minutes of listening tells you more than any amount of reading.
Bring your own content. A film you know well is more useful than a demo clip chosen to flatter the system. If you play games, bring the console and we will connect it.
No appointment is needed. Call ahead if you want a particular brand or speaker layout set up, and we will have it running when you arrive.

Supply and installation
Thirty brands of projectors, receivers, amplifiers, speakers and subwoofers, specified for the room and installed by our own team. From a single projector in a bedroom to a dedicated cinema with eleven channels built into the structure.

Acoustic work
Acoustic panels, bass traps and soundproofing, designed for the specific room.

Calibration
The system measured and set up with instruments, then checked by ear. Also available on systems we did not install.

Design and 3D visuals
Panel layout, lighting, seating and finish, drawn up for approval before any work begins.

Working with trades
We work alongside architects, interior designers and electricians. Bring us in at the drawing stage and the whole job costs less.

Kollam is where the showroom and the demo room are. The installation team travels from there.
